The Lebanese national Olympic football team returns to Beirut Satisfaction from Tardy and Qatari Praise the team’s level. 

The Lebanese delegation returned to Beirut yesterday after finishing the training camp in Qatar for one week, including 2 friendly matches with the Olympic Qatari team, and the result was (2-0) and (1-0). The national team is preparing a second training camp in Abu Dhabi, which includes 2 other friendly matches with the Emirates team. This comes within the preparation of the team to the Asian qualification for Athens 2004. The first of it phase will begin with two matches with the Jordanian team one on Saturday the  5th of April at 7:00 pm at Beirut stadium, and another in Jordan on the 19th of April. 

The French coach Richard Tardy announced his absolute satisfaction of the good condition in which the preparation of the national team is undergoing. He congratulated the team for his good behavior in the training camp, which has been translated in 2 successful matches with the Qatari team. The Lebanese delegation received a perfect treatment from theirs hosts during the camp in Doha, and the players received praises from the Qatari media.

The general secretariat of the Lebanese football federation considered that the 2 winning matches are a good indicator for successful future for the Lebanese football, and especially that the Lebanese Olympic players are considered the core of the Lebanese national team in the next steps.

The Qatari coach announced that the 2 matches with the Lebanese team were a “Good experience “despite all the difficult conditions, because it came with a strong and organized team like the Lebanese one. And we will work hard to adjust a few things in the Qatari team and the mistakes done in the 2 matches will be a good lesson for us to repair the gaps in the next phase.
