New Committee.. End of Era
September 23, 2001

The judgment day arrived.. The long waited September 23, 2001. Under the supervision of FIFA members Mr. Asaad Taki, Farouk Bozo, Ram Rouhi, & Vincent Moinier, the LFA committee election took place at UNESCO palace with the participation of 143 voting club out of 146 eligible clubs, 3 clubs were absent: Racing Beirut, Riadah Wal Adab, & Salam Sour.

The process went smoothly in a democratic atmosphere. The final results led to a great victory for the 11 members of The Reform & Change list who triumphed over the members of The Dignity & Reform (led by the former LFA general secretary Raheef Alameh)  by a margin of 36 votes. Mr. Alameh was eliminated for the first time in 16 years out of the LFA committee namely since May 5, 1985.
