Ali Ahmad resigns of Tadamoun Sour presidency October 18, 2001

Ali Ahmad, president of Tadamoun Sour Club, resigned of his position on Thursday October 18, 2001 during the club administration meeting held in his office with the presence of 11 administrative members out of 17.

Ali Ahmad, the main financial power
behind Tadamoun Sour

Mr. Ahmad turned the resignation to the difference in viewpoints inside the club administration opposing his futuristic view to transform the club into a Sports organization on the regional level.

The achievement of his views, according to Mr. Ahmad, is not  possible without a radical change in the club's internal rules & regulations, the assignment of duties, the selection of administrative members, as well as many other organizational matters.

At the same time, Mr. Ahmad declared that He would continue his support to the club's administration in all matters that keep the club together.

This resignation comes after the resignation of the Vice president Shareef Wehbeh, both considered as the main financing power behind Tadamoun Sour, Lebanon Cup holder 2001, and the disputed Champion for the 2000/2001 season.

Meanwhile, Tadamoun Sour players, made a statement on Friday, received by Assafir Newspaper fax machine, that they will boycott the Football team until the return of Ali Ahmad to the presidency position.

The current situation raises many questions towards the level of differences inside Tadamoun administration, and the club ability to survive the crisis, and keep its Football team position as one of the elite teams in Lebanon.
