Al-Ansar to face Al-Fawz Tripoli on Wednesday October 23, 2001

Al-Ansar team continues its preparations for the coming Viceroy Cup and the season, and shall play friendly matches tomorrow ( Wednesday) with Al-Fawz Tripoli at Al-Ansar field, and on Saturday with Salam Zgharta. The players are training daily at the club field at Airport-Road area, south of Beirut. Those who witnesses the training sessions realize the increased reliance by the builder of Al-Ansar glories Hajj Adnan Mikdashi (Al-Sharki) on the element of youth supported by the expertise of Jamal Taha, Malek Hassoun, Fadi Ghosn, Mohammad Jawad, and the others.

Concerning the foreign players, very advanced negotiations are taking place with former team midfielder David Nakid of Trinidad & Tobago to rejoin the team, banned for lifetime by former LFA committee and included in the general pardon on 21-10-01. Among the mentioned names also, Edimola Equadissy, former Midfield player at Nejmeh Club who attracted the attention with his swiftness, and excellent ball control. Last suggested name is Iraqi forward player Hisham Mohammad who scored twice for Iraq in the World Cup Asian qualifiers to join the team very has the negotiations succeeded.
