FIFA WORLD CUP 2018 LEBANON

Weren’t you bothered this summer after waiting for the biggest sporting
event in history during Korea/Japan FIFA World cup you had work during that
month?

Because the games was broadcasted during the morning hours and you couldn’t
tell your boss you were sick, otherwise where would you’ve got your money
from to pay your bills, sitting at home?
Or you guys who don’t have a job and wanted to go for a drink at a pub with
your mates and watch your favorite game, only to be told: “sorry, we are
not allowed to serve alcohol during morning hours”!.
This years World cup was a disastrous one for us, the fans, the workers, the
pub owners who weren’t allowed so called “super licences” for one month to
serve beer before 10 am, and lost customers, and the fans went back home,
there was no fiesta, no dancing and it was not broadcasted games to all
countries like France 98’, which by the way was a real carnival, believe me
I was there, it was madness, pure madness.
I hope that FIFA won’t give China the World cup in 2014, Dato Peter
Velappan, AFC-president suggested in line with FIFA's rotation system
,however it is not likely that soon, but in 2018 it’s a possibility.
Any way, by that time I hope he (Velappan) is long gone from the football
scene in Asia, and that a new AFC-committee backs a formal bid from Lebanon
to host the 2018 FIFA World cup as the sole candidate country from Asia, and
representatives of a new market for Asian football, a Mediterranean and
western Asian nation.
I would also like to mention that Lebanon is practically located in Europe,
between 3 continents, and that we have GMT+2 hrs, and that Europe was called
after a Phoenician princess who married Zeus.
Now many of you may ask: “What has Europe got to do with anything if Lebanon
is bidding as an Asian country”? ,

A LOT! , First of all look at the European teams performances during the
World cup, even Brazil with their European based players, they was tired
from the long season and the Champions League and had to travel many
time-zones to eastern Asia and suffer from Jetlag and unbearable humidity
and heat. They won’t suffer from either Jetlag or extreme weather conditions
in Lebanon, as we are a Mediterranean country, with the same weather as
Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Greece etc, so those two factors will favor
those competing nations to vote for Lebanon’s candidacy.

Not least the fans that will spend little or very few euros to visit
Lebanon, It’s cheap to travel and live in Lebanon if you’re a foreigner, and
we have similar culture and mentality as several European people. It’s more
so cost efficient for European countries because the weather in Spain,
Italy, and France is the same during that part of the year as in Lebanon.
The most important factor are the SPONSORS, they will push to locate the
World cup in Lebanon as it’s an Asian country on the record, but lies in
Euro-zone, so games will be broadcasted to everyone live, in the afternoon,
when people finish their jobs & schools, and pub’s can serve beer. Plus the
viewer ratings on TV will skyrocket again after a massive drop during this
World cup.

Making it more attractive to place commercials on TV, knowing that the
majority of the people in Europe, Africa, and Asia will be at home or
available during the afternoon watching the World cup, even in South & North
America thus generating more money for their respective companies. Lebanon
FIFA World cup 2018 will be a massive success for crowd attendance,
TV-ratings , cash money millions for sponsors , huge turnouts for the
matches with charter airlines storming into Lebanon as we are a very easily
accessed country by plane, boat and road.
Another exciting prospect is that Lebanon is not affiliated to the
EU (European union) and we implement a
TAX FREE zone, unlike Euro-zone, so tourists would favor coming to Lebanon,
instead of going all the way to the FAR, FAR East. They’ve already been
there and they saw themselves, it’s overrated.

This event would push on every sector in Lebanon, jobs, economy, tourism,
construction, infrastructure, hotels,
dining & leisure. It will mean goodwill to Lebanon and huge PR. And Lebanon
would be an ambassador for it as well as all the tourists and put Lebanon
“back on the map” again. Build new football stadiums, airports, highways,
and harbors. Then come the first objective: getting this LFA (Lebanese
football association) SPONSORS in order to record and present a 3D animated
geo-planning, urban-planning, environmental aspects, facilities and hosting
capabilities. The final version will include maps, economical, ecological
and technical studies, full review of existing / to be constructed
facilities. This final bid document will be presented in 2011 during the
FIFA convention.
Put together a DVD presentation comprising about 40-60 minutes where you
describe all the advantages Lebanon has over all the other bids, including
Chinas in hosting such an event as I mentioned in this text.

This will cost approximately 1 million $, we can get help from many wealthy
Lebanese multi-millionaires, businesses and billionaire philanthropists.
Such as Carlos “slim” Helou who owns TELMEX co, the biggest
telecommunications company in South America, he own half of all the big
businesses in Mexico and is the richest man in that country and one of the
richest men in South America.

Then you have Nicolas G. Hayek who owns Swatch, and hold the majority stocks
of ROLEX, EBEL , Cassio and his computer company Hayek Data sponsors the FIS
skiing World cup. The CEO of NISSAN motors, Kinko’s photocopy empire owned
and established by Paul Orfalea, Shaker advertising, the oldest and most
respected advertising firm in the Midwest USA. Plus lots and lots of others,
Stephen Yokich, head of union leader. In 1995 he became the eighth president
of the sixty-year-old UAW, a labor union officially named the International
Union of United Automobile, Aerospace, and Agricultural Implement Workers of
America.
Then there's Charles Rozwat - Executive VP of Server Technologies - ORACLE
CORPORATION, Ned Mansour - president of Mattel, Inc. in 1999, Mattel is the
maker of Barbie dolls.
And you have Bryan J. Zwan Ph.D. - Space physics Founded fiber-optic
equipment company Digital Lightwave 1990; IPO 1997. #391 on Forbes list of
the 400 richest Americans.
Plus Bill Rouhana Jr. - CEO of Winstar Telecommunications
ETC, ETC..
The FIFA World cup will showcase Lebanon's beauty and its unique geography
to the whole Asian continent and the rest of the world as well through the
media coverage; satellite television transmission, local television coverage

Myself and the rest of the people in Lebanon sincerely hope that you can see
fit to assist this effort through your financial contribution allowing the
LFA to prepare a viable and serious Bid.

Establish a fund and get these guys to come and sponsor, e-mail them, get in
contact with them and let them know you want to do something huge, they will
help you, start from now by announcing officially, you the LFA if you read
this then say to FIFA and the World, we can organize the biggest sporting
event in the World, Thank you and God bless Lebanon.
