Lebanon’s cup: Tadamon vs. Nejmeh delayed Fanj and Wehbi ascertain the deep relations between both clubs

The LFA agreed on Nejmeh club’s appeal to postpone the match against Tadamon Sour in Lebanon’s Cup Quarter Finals, which was going to be played tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. The match was postponed to a date, which will be decided by the LFA later.
The LFA also modified the timing of the match between Ahed and Homentmen and decided that it will be played at 8:30 instead of 4:30 p.m. at the same venue.

In another issue, Nejmeh’s president Mr. Mohammad Fanj thanked his counterpart of Tadamon Sour Mr. Sharif Wehbi for his patriotic and honest attitude towards Nejmeh Club, which was represented with Wehbi’s quick acceptance (to delay the match) which came as a result of a sporty sensation and that at the end will be of a benefit for sports in general.

Mr. Fanj stated that “these great attitudes make us proud of a man like Mr. Wehbi who played a great role in the group work of clubs and who used to call for co-operation for the benefit of football and that will help in finding a suitable atmosphere in the football family. He added “Wehbi’s presence in the football family is of great importance for Nejmeh in the club’s preparations for the qualifications of Arab Club’s Championship. It is something that we should thank him for and that will have a positive result on the relationship between the two clubs.”

On the other side, Tadamon’s president Mr. Sharif Wehbi stated for Al Safir newspaper that “It is the least duty for Tadamon to stand beside Nejmeh especially that the club will represent Lebanon on the regional level. Therefore, postponing the match is something normal, because of the duties ahead of the Lebanese clubs. It should be so especially because we are proud of Nejmeh and we hope that the club will achieve a positive result for the Lebanese Football.”

Wehbi added “Tadamon uses an open-door policy with all the clubs and we are honest in our relationships with these clubs. What Mr. Fanj said in different occasions confirms the strong relationships with Nejmeh club and confirms the role, which is played by Mr. Fanj’s which has good signs.

He concluded “we hope that Nejmeh will be championed and that will be as if Tadamon are the champions and delaying a match is not the end of the world especially when national duty calls.”
