Group Four's qualifications for the Arab Clubs' Championship. Nejmeh begins his trainings to meet the Syrian Al-Jaish tomorrow.

Nejmeh Club will play tomorrow his first match in the qualifications of Group Four for the Arab Clubs' Championship where the team will meet Al Jaish (Syria) and Al Faisaly (Jordan) will play against Al Aqsa (Palestine).

Nejmeh will play his second match next Friday on June 23 and the final match will be against Al Faisaly on Sunday.

The team started his trainings in Amman after the arrival of his delegation and lodging at "Arena Space". The delegation included: Fouad Sinnou (president), Ahmed Koubrousli and Samir El Adou (managers), Abd Al Aziz Abd el Shafi (Coach), Hassan Shatila (trainer), Walid Shatila (Goalkeepers' trainer), Mazen Al Ahmediya (Physiotherapist), Hassan Itani (Equipments' principal) and the players are:

Goalkeepers: Wahid Fatal, Abdou Tafeh and Haitham Bader.

Defenders: Abbas Shahrour, Mohammad Ibrahim, Mahmoud Karnib, Sunday Oko (Nigeria), Husein Daher, Hasan El Huseini and Zein Al Abideen Saed.

Midfielders: Yihya Hashem, Mousa Hujeij, Abbas Atwi, Mohammad Halawi, Ahmed Kubeisi and Khaled Hamie.

Attackers: Mohammad Ghaddar, Jilberto Dos Santos, Mahmoud Majid (Iraq), Errol Macferlain (Trinidad & Tobago) and Said Abboushi.

In that context, the Egyptian coach for Nejmeh Abd El Aziz Abd El Shafi stated that "the chances for qualification are equal for all four teams and the competition will be too close". El Shafi (52 years old) added in his statement for AFP "the chances of Nejmeh, Al Faisaly, Al Jaish and Al Aqsa are equal but only two teams will qualify and there lies the competition."

He added "Nejmeh didn't use to play 3 consecutive matches in 5 days, and the players are tired after a long season which will be continued with the Golden Finals and the Semi Finals with home and away matches."

He noted, "A few changes happened in the Nejmeh since I left the team two seasons ago when the team missed Abbas Atwi and Husein Daher because they had to do their Military Service". He continued "The time has come now to give the chance for young players like Mohammad Ghaddar, Haitham Atwi and Ali Nasr El Deen to play with the first team and it was the same policy I used to follow when I first came to Nejmeh".

The following is the 4th Group Qualifications' matches:

Wednesday May 21, 2003: Nejmeh vs. Al Jaish and Al Faisaly vs. Al Aqsa.
Friday May 23, 2003: Nejmeh vs. Al Aqsa and Al Faisaly vs. Al Jaish.
