The Olympic Lebanese Team starts its camp as a
preparation for the match against Indonesia
The Lebanese
Olympic Team started its closed camp on 02-06-2003 as a
preparation for the match against
Indonesia
which will be held next Saturday; 07-06-2003 at Beirut
Municipality Stadium in the second leg of the second round of
Athens 2004 qualifications.
The Lebanese side has to win with 2 goals’ difference in order
to qualify to the final rounds of the qualifications for the
first time in the history of Lebanese Football. The Indonesian
team won the first leg 1-0 in the match, which was held a month
ago in Jakarta.
The national
coach Mr. Richard Tardi called 21 players to the camp in order
to select 18 players for the match on Friday’s eve after the
final training, which will be held in Beirut and the players are
as follows:
Goalkeepers:
Mohammad Santina and George Sadek.
Defenders: Sami El Shum, Hasan Mizher, Abbas Kinaan and Tarek
Nasr El Deen.
Midfielders: Ahmed El Shum, Khaled Hamiyeh, Khudor Najdi, Hamza
El Masri, Yihya Hashem, Khudor Salameh, Abbas Atwi, Haitham Atwi
and Mohammad Shahrour.
Forwards: Agob Donabidian, Adham Ghaddar, Paul Rustom, Roony
Azar, Hasan Nasr Allah and Mohammad Ghaddar.
Note
that the Olympic Team made its first practice 02-06-2003 on
Tripoli Municipality Stadium and the training will continue two
times a day starting from Monday 02-06-2003
