Football co-operation between Lebanon and Sweden

The LFA's president Mr. Hashem Haidar discussed football co-operation between Lebanon and Sweden after he met a Swedish sports delegation of Svarker Johnson, Bonts Sandel and Peter Barg and they were accompanied by Wadi' el Ashakar, a Lebanese who is living in Sweden.

The Swedish delegation asked Mr. Haidar to provide all the possible conditions to make youth camps for Swedish teams in Lebanon and hoped that there will be technical co-operation in this domain.

Mr. Haidar appreciated this idea and he was positive concerning this issue where he ascertained the importance of exchanging visits between the clubs and the teams of both countries. Furthermore, he asked Swedish assistance in the LFA's ambitions to develop the refereeing system by sending a Swedish refereeing expert to hold training courses for Lebanese referees. The delegation complied with this demand and promised to take direct procedures.

Finally, both sides ascertained the importance to continue talks and do whatever it takes to help both Swedish and Lebanese football.
