Chaaban sparkles in debut

The Lebanese Striker Ali Chaaban notched a late strike to save the day for his club Farnborough Town in a friendly against Oxford United on Wednesday. Chaaban, who played his first game of the pre-season after recovering from injury, was on top form when his 78th-minute strike gave his new club a 1-1 draw with Oxford to put the team on the right track after several flops in past friendlies. The team didn't taste victory in any pre-season match so far where BORO could only draw in four matches and suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat against Newport. However, the team still have 4 pre-season matches and probably the big clash with Millwall today would prove decisive for coach Tommy Taylor who is still examining numerous triallists.
