Joe Koebli is the new president for Racing

The new management for Racing elected Mr. Joe Koebli as a president for the club during its meeting, which was held after its election, headed by its eldest member. The posts were selected as the following:

Lebanon Olympic Team lost to Qatar Olympic 2-0

In a friendly match that took place on Beirut Municipality stadium 27-05-2003 Lebanon lost to Qatar 2-0 goals scored by Meshaal Abed Allah 25' and Tarek Naser Eldine (OG) 89'.

The Qualifications of the Arab Club’s Championship

Nejmeh finished its journey to Jordan with a second 2-0 loss against Al Faisaly (Jordan) in the match which was held yesterday; Sunday 25-05-2003 in Amman at King Abdallah the Second's Stadium in Kuwaisima.The team will return to Lebanon today to prepare for its next match in the Master Championship against Sagesse next Thursday. more

The Qualifications of the Arab Club’s Championship Al Faisaly beat Al Jaish (2-0) and qualifies Al Aqsa drew with Nejmeh (3-3) in the final seconds of the match.

Al Faisaly (Jordan) qualified to the final round of the Arab Club’s Championship after its win over Al Jaish (Syria) 2-0 in the match, which was held yesterday; 23-05-2003 in Amman, thus the team conquered the first position in the standing of the fourth group. more

The Lebanese Olympic team vs. The Qatari Olympic team next Tuesday

The Lebanese Olympic team is preparing to meet his Qatari counterpart next Tuesday at 8:30 on Beirut Municipality stadium. This match comes as a preparation test to the Lebanese Olympic team for his second leg of the match against Indonesia on June 7th at Beirut municipality stadium in the Asian qualifications for the 2004 Olympic games in Athens. Note that Lebanon has to win with a 2 goals difference in order to qualify to the next round, which will include 12 Asian teams in the 3 groups and the matches will be held in a home-away system.

Nejmeh (Lebanon’s champions) lost its first match in the qualifications of group four of the Arab club’s championship - which is hosted by Jordan’s Capital Amman till next Sunday – against the Syrian Army 0-2 (The first half 0-1) in the match, which was played yesterday on King Abdallah the Second’s Stadium in Kuwaisima. more

A brave step for Tadamon towards the end of the season Suspending Manasri and Korkein and putting them on the Transfer list Dismissing the technical staff and looking for another.

Tadamon Sour made a brave decision and suspended his players; Ibrahim Manasri and Korkein Yankiberian and they were enlisted on the Transfer list as a punishment for their behavior when they fought in the match against Nejmeh. The club considered this behavior as a something which contradicts with the goals and principles of Tadamon throught its historical journey. more

The Lebanese Olympic team will play against his Qatari counterpart in a friendly.

The Lebanese Olympic team will meet his Qatari counterpart on May 27, 2003 in Beirut in a friendly match among their preparations for the second leg of the Asian qualifications for Athens Olympic games in 2004. The Lebanese Olympic team will face the Indonesia in Beirut on June 6, 2003 after his 1-0 defeat in Jakarta. On the other side, the Qatari Olympic team will face the Oman on the same date in Muscat where the home match finished 1-0 in Doha for the Qatari team.
Note that the Lebanese Coach Mr. Richard Tardi called Tarek Nasr El Deen - who plays with a French team from the second division – to participate in the match as a tryout.

Mr. Haidar met a delegation from Al Fajr Arabsalim.

The LFA's president Mr. Hashem Haidar met a delegation from Al Fajr Arabsalim Club headed by Mr. Mohammad Mahdi where he received trophy as an appreciation. Mr. Haidar discussed football issues with the delegation in the presence of the MP Ali Bazi. Mr. Younes Badoura on the other hand appreciated all the work of the LFA and he viewed Arabsalim's experience, which was so ambitious to join the football family and achieved that through Al Fajr Club and he also thanked those who worked for the success of this step.

Group Four's qualifications for the Arab Clubs' Championship. Nejmeh begins his trainings to meet the Syrian Al-Jaish tomorrow.

Nejmeh Club will play tomorrow his first match in the qualifications of Group Four for the Arab Clubs' Championship where the team will meet Al Jaish (Syria) and Al Faisaly (Jordan) will play against Al Aqsa (Palestine). Nejmeh will play his second match next Friday on June 23 and the final match will be against Al Faisaly on Sunday. more

Macferlain is to stay with Nejmeh for 2 years

A Nejmeh Club source confirmed that the Trinidad & Tobago player Errol Macferlain has signed a new contract with the club for two years and he will participate in next years’ championship. Errol will also participate with Nejmeh in the qualifications of the Arab Club’s Championship that will be held in Jordan from 21 till 25 May 2003. more

The LFA’s High Committee changed the place of the match between Safa and Mabarra of the 20th round of Matser Championship for the 1st division. The committee decided that the match would be played at Beirut Municipality stadium at 4:45 p.m. instead of Safa stadium because its maintenance. more

Lebanon’s cup: Tadamon vs. Nejmeh delayed.
Fanj and Wehbi ascertain the deep relations between both clubs

The LFA agreed on Nejmeh club’s appeal to postpone the match against Tadamon Sour in Lebanon’s Cup Quarter Finals, which was going to be played tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. The match was postponed to a date, which will be decided by the LFA later.
The LFA also modified the timing of the match between Ahed and Homentmen and decided that it will be played at 8:30 instead of 4:30 p.m. at the same venue.

Nejmeh Al-Sahra team is the Champion of the Third Division.

The team of Nejmeh Al-Sahra Sin El Fil was crowned as the Champion of the Third Division after his win on Wednesday 8-5-2003  on Al Rayan Lwayzi on Penalty Kicks (4-1) after the end of the original and extra time with a (0-0) draw of the match, which was held on Beirut Municipality Stadium.
Both teams made it and qualified to the Second Division after they were leveled in points in the Third Division League.
The scorers were Ellie Kazi, Roony Azar, Joseph Jond and Mario Farah (To the winner) and Sami Haidar (To the Looser).
The match was refereed by the International ref. Mohammad Mansour and he was assisted by the International Assistant Ruben Tarazian and the Federal Assistant Samer Al Masri. At the end of the match the LFA president Mr. Hashem Haidar awarded the championship trophy to Tanios Merhej the Captain of the winning team.

The Lebanese-Canadian wins the Banks Futsal Championship.
The "Lebanese-Canadian Bank" Team won the Banks Futsal Championship after winning against "Mawarid Bank" team (9-7) in the final match which was held on Jumhur School’s stadium which the collaboration and the presence of the LFA president Mr. Hashem Haidar.
This Championship lies in the preparations for holding the first ever Futsal League in Lebanon.
The Lebanese-Canadian goals were scored by Alain Semia (3 Goals), Ellie Karam (3 Goals), Mohammad Abu Alewi, Nasr-Allah Karam and Sadek Sleiman. And Mohammad Murtada, Ahmed Farahat (3 Goals) and Nabil Sheikho for Al Mawared Team.
Douri Zakhour - Al Muttahid Bank player - was championed as the best scorer of the tournament.

Nejmeh defeated Tadamoun Sour [3-2] goals scored by Moussa Hojiej 16', Mouhamad Ghadar 66', 72' for Nejmeh and Haitham Zein 42', Korkein 88' [PK].

Homentmen tied with Ahed [2-2] goals scored by Bassam Marmar 18', Mahmoud Shahoud 112' for Ahed and Wartan Ghazarian 85', Thomason 90' for Homentmen.

Olympic Beirut tied with Ansar [1-1] goals scored by Mouhamad Jawad 77' for Ansar and Mouhamad Kassas 82' for Olympic Beirut.

Latest news about the Lebanese Olympic National Team

-The Lebanese Olympic team will play a friendly game against a team from the Arabian Gulf on May, 28 and will prepare for the match against Indonesia with a closed camp from June 2nd till June 6th.
-The French-Lebanese player is called Tarek Nasr el Din and he will play in the Friendly match on May 28 so that Mr. Tardi can evaluate him.
-Ali el Atat will not play because he is suspended after being booked two yellow cards.
-Adham Ghaddar will return after being suspended because of getting two yellow cards.
- Khudor Salami will return also to the National team.
-Football specialists are afraid from the fact that the Olympic team's players will have a heavy schedule to play (i.e in the League and in the lebanese cup) which will has a certain affect on the Olympic team.
-The LFA will honor the Lebanese U-17 Youth team with a dinner ceremony after their great victory in France when they won the Paris International Tournament.

A Lebanese player from France will Join the Olympic National Team

In another exclusive news for Lebanese-football.com, the Lebanese coach Mr. Richard Tardi stated that he will call a very talented young player from France who is of a Lebanese origin and he said that the player - who plays in central defense - will participate in the second leg match against Indonesia which will be played in Beirut on June the 6th.

Abdulaziz Abdulshafi "Zizo" the new Coach For Nejmeh.

A source close to Nejmeh club has confirmed that the Egyptian coach Abdulaziz Abdulshafi "Zizo" will arrive on "Sunday 04-05-2003" to Beirut where he will sign a 2-year contract to lead the Nejmeh FC for the remaining matches of the 2002/2003 season, and the next season. Zizo shall start his work officially with the team in the coming Stage 19 of the Master Championship, expected on the 17th. or 18th. of May, 2003 match against Olympic Beirut.
Nejmeh FC will play in the 2nd Arab  Championship for clubs on 21, 23, 25 May on Jordan. Nejmeh Group include (Al-Faysali [Jordan], Al-Aqsa [Palestine], El- Jeish [Syria], Nejmeh [Lebanon])
